MODERN SLAVERY STATEMENT
This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes the Company’s slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year beginning 1st September 2025 and has been approved by the Directors of Anderson Specialist Contracting Ltd.
The Company operates as primarily a sub-contractor. The organisation currently has a head office in Forfar with the majority of the workforce on either commercial or domestic sites throughout Scotland providing specialist repair contracting services.
Anderson Specialist Contracting Ltd do not believe there is any place in todays world for slavery or human trafficking. We are committed to continually improving our employment practises to ensure that we combat slavery and human trafficking in all their forms. We also will strive to encourage the same high standards from our supply chain and other business partners.
We choose to engage and partner with organisations because they recognise people should be treated with dignity and respect. Anderson Specialist Contracting Ltd purchases a range of products and services predominantly from its local supply chain. We believe our highest areas of potential risk are within our supply chain, and in the provision of agency labour.
We ensure that all employees working for our organisation receive the living wage. If we employ agency staff we ensure that they are to receive the national minimum wage. In addition, we ensure that all employees who work on our behalf have the correct paperwork to seek employment in the UK.
Our various policies and procedures provides guidance to all our staff on acting at all times according to the highest principles set out by the Company and its Directors. Staff can refer to a confidential whistleblowing policy to report any concerns on an anonymous basis. We consider our policies and procedures regularly, not only to ensure they remain relevant, but also to review our progress.
