ASC delivers strengthening solutions for clients with structural loading issues in reinforced concrete, timber and masonry structures. Additionally, structural strengthening works is carried out on arched bridges and older building which require remedial work as a result of subsidence and other structural movement. Our comprehensive service includes a survey to establish the extent of the problem and a proposal to reinstate the structures integrity. The work required can typically include underpinning and stabilisation of the building and we frequently reinforce the fabric of buildings via stitching, using the Helibeam System. This tried and tested system comprises of helical stainless steel bars, which are bonded into the masonry and provide a cost-effective means of restoring structural integrity to stone and brick built structures where the masonry has lost its load-bearing capabilities as a resuly of groun movement, weathering or increased loads or stresses.
